Cocktail for a Cause

Giving back to the communities we call home has always been an important part of who we are at Sam Walker’s American Tavern and across the Maverick Hospitality family.

Through our Cocktail for a Cause program, we turn one cocktail into an opportunity to make a difference. Twice a year, we partner with local nonprofits and community organizations to create a featured cocktail inspired by their mission. For every featured cocktail sold, $2 is donated directly to the organization.

Since the program began in 2016, Maverick Hospitality has proudly raised more than $120,000 for organizations making a difference in communities across Massachusetts. Since opening our doors in 2021, Sam Walker’s has been proud to contribute to that total and support causes that are meaningful to our local communities.

From supporting children and families to helping provide critical resources and services, each partnership gives our guests an easy way to enjoy a great cocktail while giving back. We’re proud to partner with organizations doing important work right here in our communities and to use our restaurants as a platform to help share their missions.

What started as a simple idea: have a cocktail, make a difference. This has grown into a program we’re incredibly proud to be part of. We’re grateful to our guests for raising a glass with us and helping make every Cocktail for a Cause partnership possible.

Flag Day

At Sam Walker’s American Tavern, we believe being part of the Woburn community means more than being a place to grab a meal or a drink. It means being part of the traditions that bring neighbors together.

That’s why we’re incredibly proud to be a major sponsor of Woburn’s Flag Day Festival and to have helped bring this beloved celebration back to the community.

In partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Woburn, we’re proud to help create a day where families, friends, and neighbors can come together to celebrate right here in our hometown. From live music and activities to food, games, and fireworks, Flag Day is all about creating a fun, memorable experience for the entire Woburn community.

Bringing this event back has been especially meaningful to our team. Woburn has supported us since we opened our doors, and we’re proud to give back by helping continue a tradition that brings people together year after year.

We’re looking forward to growing Flag Day into an annual Woburn tradition for years to come and continuing to make it a celebration that our community can look forward to every year.
